Former model Paulina Porizkova is going on being honest about her feelings and mental health.
The current writer took to Instagram on January 14, posted a photo of herself in her apartment, furnished with antique furniture and a piano, all alone, and added a caption that includes her thoughts regarding her future.
Porizkova, who previously expressed that she is tired of receiving mean comments concerning her appearance and personality, began her lengthy caption as follows:
“Coming full circle. As I already mentioned, my new apartment is literally next door to my very first apartment in this city, which I rented in 1983! So here I am again. I’m once again single and unsure of my future. But otherwise, there is a huge difference between me now and me then.”
The fashion icon, who says at every turn that she feels lonely after losing her husband of years, The Cars’ lead singer Ric Ocasek following an unspecified surgery, in September 2019, continued her message by expressing that she is experiencing loneliness at high.
“Now I’m back on top of this cliff, having flown and crashed. Bruised and shaken, I’m all the worse for wear. My confidence has taken a beating.”
Familiar with sharing her mental journey with her fans & followers through social media channels, Porizkova, also implied that she is keeping a positive attitude for the future, despite all of the negative thoughts and feelings.
“But now I know what my wings can do. I know the wind currents. I know how to steer and control my flight. Still, the knowledge of unexpected storms, wayward airplanes, confused birds and mythical dragons makes this second time jump off the cliff scary rather than exciting.”
The ‘America’s Next Top Model’ judge concluded her message by stating that she believes in new beginnings:
“But this time I also know to fully feel and see and smell and hear and appreciate and marvel on my way back down. Hope lies not in the amazing things ahead but the amazing things on the way.”
The post received highly positive feedback from notable names. Here some of them:
“You’re such a beautiful writer. I hope we get to see / read more of it 🙏❤️” wrote, Kyle Richards.
“There is the woman I know” added, Sharon Stone.
“I know you’re going to be very happy here. ❤️❤️❤️” said, Maia Dunphy.
