Actor and model Michelle Trachtenberg, best known for her roles in various series, took the revenge of the past.
The actor, who portrayed ‘Dawn Summers‘ in the fan-favorite fantasy series ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer‘ went to her verified Instagram account with a TBT photo that caused controversy when it had been first published in Maxim magazine.
Trachtenberg, who is releasing mostly TBT shots of herself instead of current ones, slammed those who criticized her photo with the claim that it is improper for a young woman at that time.
Underneath the photo showing off her deep cleavage, the ‘Gossip Girl‘ star wrote that she is now old enough to post it. In her own words:
“In response to the hatred I got (mostly from women deciding I was sexualized) for posting a magazine cover photo I did when I was around 25.”
After ten years and a bunch of hatred she received because of her pose, the 35-year-old star stated that looking at the photo made her confident:
“I post this photo that made me feel confident and strong, also mid 20s. Get a calendar. I’m 35 now. Eff off if you’re offended. #womenempowerment”
A shortly after releasing the abovementioned post, Trachtenberg uploaded the March 2011 dated cover photo of Maxim magazine, and wrote the following caption in short:
“This is March Madness #throwback”
