Chrissy Teigen, who captures media attention with her each social media post, decided to leave Twitter.
The well-known TV host and cookbook author delivered the news by herself, again through her social media accounts. On March 25, the mother of two, took to her verified Instagram account, released a screenshot of her Twitter account, and confirmed her leaving from the platform.
Via the post, Teigen also stated the reason for her act; according to what she wrote in her message, being active on Twitter no longer serves her “as positively as it does negatively.” Teigen, who became the subject of the news as the only celeb who President Joe Biden follows on Twitter, continued her statement as follows:
“But I want to say that this is absolutely NOT twitter’s fault – I believe they do all they can to combat relentless bullying, any honestly, it’s not the bullying!! You guys have no idea how much they’ve reached out and worked with my team and me personally.”
Stating that she is truly sick of the burden social media brought to her through some mean users, Teigen pointed to herself as the main reason for leaving the platfrom. She clarified:
“It’s just me. (…) I hate letting people down or upsetting people and I feel like I just did it over and over and over. Someone can’t read that they disappointed you in some way every single day, all day without physically absorbing that energy. I can feel it in my bones.”
The former model concluded her words by saying that she no longer cares and added: “Don’t flatter yourselves.” Following the post, a great number of her industry friends took to the comments section to show their support for Teigen. Here are some of these comments:
“I don’t blame you love ❤️” wrote, Bobby Berk.
“I feel you. I let Twitter go a long time ago for the same reason. It’s a nesting ground for misery” added, Amanda Seales.
“You will be missed 😞😞” commented, Chrishell Stause.
It is now wondered whether the media personality would decide to leave Instagram soon.
