Keke Palmer, a well-known singer, and songwriter was quick to react to Britney Spears‘ conservatorship hearing.
On June 23, jumped into her verified Instagram account and released a video and an accompanying message in which she is strongly accusing Britney Spears’ family – especially her father – of taking away her freedom through the conservatorship case. Keke’s post came after Spears’ testimony that she gave the other day so as to ask Judge Brenda Penny for her 13-year conservatorship to end.
Alongside the video showing Palmer lip-syncing a Britney Spears’ song, she stated:
“All of them need to go to jail! My girl was finally able to speak up against her conservatorship after they tried to make her fear damaging her “image” just to keep her quiet! How cruel to do that to someone that has only known performing their whole life. “
The young star added that she is so happy that the singer was able to tell the truth, and continued her message as follows:
“Then to contort the very thing she loved by making her do it on your time. For the love of money is the root of all evil! And to add, she is very strong and brave. To hear her speak the way she did even after all of this I’m just so glad. They could not break her! That’s a testimony.”
In addition to Keke, as soon as the testimony released through certain media outlets, a great number of celebs fired up their social media accounts to show their support for the fellow. While Halsey praised Spears for being brave, Mariah Carey expressed her love for the singer.
What’s more, well-known names of both the music and cinema industry including Sarah Jessica Parker, Andy Cohen, Lisa Rinna, Jameela Jamil and more, took to their social media channels and released the hashtag “Free Britney.”
