Celebrity couple, Dove Cameron and Thomas Doherty announced their split, on December 12, after nearly four years together.
Actually, certain media outlets had published news regarding the split in previous months, however, Dove Cameron referred to wait until yesterday to confirm the split. Cameron, best known for her portrayal of ‘Liv & Maddie Rooney’ in the Disney Channel series ‘Liv and Maddie,’ posted a message to Instagram Stories and revealed that the couple had broken up back in October. She wrote the following message:
“Every person knows there were some rumors and confusion no longer too lengthy in the past about the predicament of our relationship and we wanted to set the legend straight. In October, Thomas and I made up my ideas to part methods. The resolution became as soon as incredibly refined, however we serene contain esteem for every other, and must remain pals.”
The ‘Descendants’ actor concluded her message by asking people to respect her and her ex’s privacy. As for Scottish actor & singer Thomas Doherty, has yet commented on the news.
As known, the famous couple began dating in December 2016, after starring together in ‘Descendants 2.’ After a year, the two confirmed their relationship, and expressed how much they were happy to be together in multiple interviews.
While Thomas said that Cameron was “the most incredible particular person” he had ever met, in April Cameron, who is preparing to appear in HBO Max’s ‘Gossip Girl‘ reboot, implied that a breakup was coming. She said during an interview with PEOPLE:
“Even the healthiest of relationships right now, you need space, you need your alone time for your own relationship with yourself to flourish, but then also for your romantic relationship,”
