17-time NAACP Image Award-winning singer & songwriter Alicia Keys celebrate Joe Biden & Kamala Harris‘ win with a TBT photo, taken just after Barack Obama‘s victory in 2011.

Keys, who has been openly supporting Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, added a note as a caption along with the abovementioned photo, in which Keys is seen sitting alongside well-known singer Sting, and the 44th president of the United States. Keys began her message by stating that 2011 was so unforgettable and continued:

“In many ways, it’s like today. It represents a gift we have all been given.”

Then the 15-time Grammy Award winner said that the artists’ creations are a very strong way to reach people all around the world,” from those on 125th Street in Harlem to those serving our nation in the Capitol.”

Highlighting the power of the music, the ‘No One‘ singer celebrated the inauguration of the president of the United States, Joe Biden, with the following words:

“Music is a powerful bridge and WE are voices that create the change we need. I’m so proud of us for showing up collectively to write what our future looks like. ⁣ Let’s keep going!! ✨✨✨✨⁣”

As fans might recall, the singer protested the inauguration of Donald Trump as the 45th President in 2017, during the Women’s March, by saying the following words:

“We want the best for all Americans. No hate, no bigotry, no Muslim registry. We value education, health care, equality.”
