Tina Knowles-Lawson, the mother of singer and songwriter Beyoncé, marked the 9th marriage anniversary with her husband Richard Lawson, through her verified Instagram account.
On April 12, Knowles released a photo collage consisting of a wedding shot and from yesterday’s celebration, with a lengthy caption in order to mark the day. The businesswoman and fashion designer praised her husband of six years with the following words in the caption section:
“I have known you for 39 years and you have always been an amazing, compassionate, kind, brilliant man. Full of love and talent and optimism!”
In her sweet tribute, Knowles-Lawson stated that she has learned a lot from her actor hubby; according to what she said in her message, the founder of House of Deréon learned not to take life and people so seriously from the ‘Always a Bridesmaid‘ actor. She also added:
“To be free, to laugh, dance, to be silly sometimes, to be human and unapologetic. Thank you baby for contributing to my happiness! I love you more each day Happy Anniversary!”
As soon as Tina had released the above-mentioned post full of love, a great number of notable names, including Janelle Monáe, Amanda Seales, Octavia Spencer and Mindy Kaling took to the comments section to send their congratulatory messages. What’s more, hubby, actor Lawson also replied to her wifey through the comments.
Stating that Tina is the most most beautiful woman he had ever met, Lawson continued by telling of their love story:
“It took 32 years for my attraction for you to come full circle. It was well worth the wait. You are a revolutionary, a visionary, an incredible artist, a fashion icon, a leader, a cultural beacon, a hot sexy, ratchet God warrior, and only second to God you are my wife.”
As fans might know, the two, who have been knowing each other for 39 years, changed the vows on April 12, 2015.
