Fashion icon Paulina Porizkova opened up about the bullying she had to face when she was working as a model. On January 29, the former model jumped into her Instagram account, posted a selfie, in which she is seen with her messy hair, and added a lengthy caption to tell of about the experience of being judged with her physical appearance.
She began her message by stating that the following caption is an answer to the questions she frequently receives regarding her modeling experiences and aging; according to what he wrote in the section, she is getting numerous messages like, “What was it like when you were younger to be so beautiful?,” “What was it like when you would walk into a room and people would stare at you?” and “Do you miss all that attention?”
Boring with these questions, Porizkova said that aging is not a curse at all; but having to be perfect all the time is.
“As a model, you were supposed to represent the physically perfect woman. And of course you could never measure up. So, what was it like when I was “judged” to be in my prime of physical beauty? It was probably when I felt the worst about myself.”
Then the current author said that it was highly annoying to hear that people are whispering that she is not “all that hot up close or in real life” and to witness that having been compared with her model fellows. Despite all these boring beauty standards that say aging is not okay and means losing the attention of others, the former model stated that she loves herself more than ever:
“And now, when I finally appreciate what I had been given, it’s in society’s opinion I’m losing my beauty. I’m trying my hardest to withstand barbs of having past my prime, because I feel in my prime now!”The combination of my learning, maturing, and earning my wrinkles, combined with the way I look, I believe is the best balance I have ever had.”
As soon as Porizkova had shared the post, celebs, including Selma Blair, Kyle Richards, and Alyssa Milano took to the comments section to say she is looking perfect at that age.
