Well-known musician and actor Jared Leto took to her verified Instagram account in order to mark another special day: the lead singer of the band 30 Seconds to Mars became sociable on May 1 to celebrate the release anniversary of the music video for MTV Video Music Award-winning song ‘The Kill.’
One of the most recognized actors in Hollywood, Leto released a couple of photos from the music video, which is accepted as a tribute to the groundbreaking film ‘The Shining’ by Stanley Kubrick, and added a note that reads, “Happy birthday to The Kill music video.”
As known, the music video released back in 2006, was selected as “the greatest rock video” and garnered high praises for its cinematic value that leads homage to ‘The Shinning‘ and ‘Requiem for a Dream.’
Then ‘Nobody’ actor continued his message by remembering the time he wrote the song, which is the second single of the album titled ‘A Beautiful Lie’ and stated that ‘The Kill’ is a life-changing song for him. In his own words:
“‘Look in my eyes, you’re killing me, killing me…’ I still remember the moment I wrote that song on the tour bus driving across America. Talk about life changing…”
As soon as the multiple award-winning star released the abovementioned post, a great number of members of the Facebook-owned app jumped into the comments section and wrote that the video was life-changing for many of them.
