Grammy award winner Adele is not a name that actively uses her social media accounts, but she did not neglect to post on her Instagram account on the 10th anniversary of her album ‘21,’ which earned her a Grammy.
After her appearance on NBC’s long-running program Saturday Night Live in October, the ‘Rolling in the Deep’ singer didn’t make any new announcements or update her Instagram accounts.
Her first post since then came yesterday to celebrate the 10th anniversary of her highly anticipated album ’21,’ which is her second studio album. Some of the fans thought she was making an announcement about her upcoming album and got disappointed that it wasn’t. In her own words:
“Well I never! Happy 10 years old friend! It’s crazy how little I remember of what it was like and how I felt a decade ago. But Thank You from the bottom of my heart for letting us into your lives and letting me be a soundtrack to some of it x”
In the album, the songs such as ‘Rolling in the Deep,’ ‘Someone like You‘ and ‘Set Fire to the Rain‘ became nationwide hits, while ‘Rumor Has It‘ charted in the top 20 across Europe and North America.
While the lyrics of almost all songs on the album became known by heart, the album was a great success, becoming both the best-selling album of the 21st century and one of the best-selling albums of all time. She also won the 2012 Grammy Award for Album of the Year and the Brit Award for British Album of the Year.
Last year, Adele, who has not released an album for many years announced that the album preparations were still ongoing and there wasn’t a certain release date, but she knows that everyone is waiting impatiently for it.
The fans continued to express their insistence on the new album by writing under the post, and one said he thought this was an album announcement while another begged for a new album. Click here to view the mentioned Instagram post and read the fans’ comments.
