One of the most-paid actors in the world, Dwayne Johnson has been recognized by Hollywood Critics Association, also known ad as the Los Angeles Online Film Critics Society (LAOFCS).
On February 24, both through the official social media accounts of the Hollywood Critics Association and Dwayne Johnson, it was declared publicly that the actor will receive Trailblazer Award for his philanthropy. HCA announced the exciting news with the following tweet:
“His philanthropy has helped millions of people all over the world. The HCA is so deeply humbled to be honoring Dwayne Johnson as this years Trailblazer.”
As soon as the honor was declared, Johnson, also known by his stage name “The Rock,” jumped into his social media accounts to celebrate it. On Instagram, he shared a post announcing the news, and added a lengthy caption to thank the committee while expressing his happiness to be the holder of the award. He began his message as follows:
“This one is very special to me and I’m deeply honored and even more so – deeply grateful to receive this high honor from the @hollywoodcriticsassociation.”
Johnson stated that he has been working to make a little impact in his business and doing some good things to contribute to people’s life. Being grateful to have been recognized in this way for his efforts, The Rock concluded:
“I’m really honored and quite moved by this recognition by this particular cadre of friends, that I’ve had the privilege of knowing and growing with over all these years. Grateful.”
