Dove Cameron, who is gearing up to appear as ‘Bubbles’ in highly-expected live-action series ‘Powerpuff Girls,’ went to her verified Instagram account with a hearty birthday post devoted to her ‘Descendants’ co-star Cameron Boyce.
As known, Boyce, the well-known Disney Channel alum, passed away on July 6, 2019, due to a seizure in his sleep caused by epilepsy; he was just 20 years old.
Almost two years after his tragic passing, Cameron released a series of TBT photos of two; alongside the shots seeing the two are holding hands and hugging, the Daytime Emmy Award-winning star added a lengthy caption in order to express that she still did not pull herself together. She began her heartbreaking birthday tribute by stating that she is honoring his memory by wearing a t-shirt of him:
“You should be 22 today. I am wearing your old shirt, the one I think you slept in mostly. I wish it still smelled like you. I hope it still holds your DNA, some piece of you. I close my eyes when I imagine the same place that covered your collar bones and heart now cover mine.”
Stating that she feels that he is not far away, the 25-year-old star added that she will love Boyce like “this always, stuck in time and always in the back of the van with” him. Continued:
“You still make me laugh like no one else. I have never been so sure that I can still feel the warmth of your cheek on mine, on my laughing lips as I fall over you, casual and clumsy tuesday morning, you are my family, we are kids like this.”
She concluded her words by expressing that she is always feeling Boyce is in her side; in her own words:
“I’ll never understand and my head aches most days so i try to lay down the burden of making sense of it. But I hold your body in mine forever, everywhere I go, I hold you, I carry you lovingly, willingly. I am lucky for this. We are all better for it.”
As fans already know, the two worked together on the well-known film ‘Descendants’ back in 2015, and they developed a great bond. Until the last day, both Cameron and Boyce did not admit they have a romantic entanglement.
