Recording artist, Chance The Rapper, born Chancelor Johnathan Bennett, updated his verified Instagram account with a TBT video recorded during Magnificent Coloring World Tour, and recalled the good & old days while revealing a secret regarding 2017 dated concerts in Chicago.
As fans might remember, Chance The Rapper and his team built a unique show within the Magnificent Coloring World Tour, and invited his biggest fans in Chicago to the show by using his SoundCloud analytics. Then, they gave the fans an address to meet a location, “where they’d be picked up by school busses and transported to the secret location with know clue what they were coming to, for free.” And the fans became a part of a magical concert.
Alongside the video that shows the 2017 Chicago concert experience of the fans, Bennett wrote a caption that reads:
“Same exact room where I filmed Chi Town Christmas, but 3 years earlier. 🤯🤯🤯”
Then the Chicago-based rapper mentioned how began all of these: In his message, he added that had an idea to build a multi-stage dynamic concert set for his biggest fans in Chicago and film this experience; so, he and his team built the entire show in a few weeks.
“Each of the five stages would highlight a different individual theme from my live show: lighting, choir, theatre, orchestral, prismizer. I thought it’d be cool to deconstruct my show into tangible separate parts of the same body.”
Stating that they did 3 different performances in a day, Bennett continued:
“It went very well; not well enough to release but it was the bones of what would become #chitownchristmas and the foundation for my love of virtual concerts 💙 thank you for this memory #mcw2″
Following the post, a great number of fans, who experienced that day in person, flooded the comment section and said that it is impossible to forget that unique concert experience.
