Beyoncé announced her upcoming Ivy Park x Adidas DRIP 2 collection, through social media. The singer and entrepreneur told the world that the highly-expected collection would arrive at the end of this month.
To release the good news, Beyoncé took to Instagram and shared posts one after another. The co-founder of Ivy Park, the activewear clothing line introduced in 2016, first uploaded a photo with the words “This is my park” alongside a flower field, then released a new video that sees Queen Bey working out, wearing Eighties style outfits. In the video, the singer’s daughter Blue Ivy also made a cameo.
The singer captioned both posts with a message includes the drop date:
“DRIP 2 October 30”
As fans remember, Beyoncé told regarding the new collection, during an interview:
“My team has worked hard with the Adidas team in bringing my vision to life for the first collection and I am grateful and proud. From the accessories to the clothes and footwear, I wanted to design and re-imagine pieces that serve as favorite armor for anyone who acknowledges the strength in their individual style and lives freely and boldly.”
The singer also announced the collaboration between Ivy Park and Adidas with the following words in April 2019:
“This is the partnership of a lifetime for me… Adidas has had tremendous success in pushing creative boundaries.”
Then Bey stated that they share a philosophy that puts creativity, growth and social responsibility at the forefront of the business. She expressed her excitement about re-launching and expanding Ivy Park on a truly global scale with a proven, dynamic leader.
The ‘Black Is King’ hitmaker, celebrated her second Ivy Park collection, including 80’s style hoodies, sports bras, track pants, jackets, sneakers, bodysuits, and shorts by sending gifts to her industry friends such as Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion.
