As each year does, on April 7, well-known actor and host Bellamy Young celebrated her 51st “adoption birthday” through her verified social media accounts.
In order to note the milestone, Young released a baby photo of herself along with a poem her mother wrote in honor of her join to the family. In the caption section, the actor, who has been gaining high praises for her performance in fan-favorite series ‘Prodigal Son‘ wrote the following message so as to thank her beloved mother, Jane Goodwin:
“Just slipping in under the wire, but didn’t want to miss the chance to say thank you- to my mom, for adopting me on this day 51 years ago. This is the pic & poem (which she wrote) from the announcement.”
The actor, who was adopted at the age of 7 weeks, in 1970, continued her message by expressing her gratitude for her life:
“I’m so grateful for my life, all of its lessons & its wonders both behind me & ahead of me. And I’m grateful that you picked me, mom. I’m sending enormous, sleepy love out to everyone tonight.”
The ‘Scandal’ star, who is praising her adoptive parents for giving her the best childhood in every turn, concluded her Instagram tribute with the following words:
“Whomever you call family, however you define it, share your love wildly, joyfully. Every moment together is a gift.”
Young’s touching post she shared to celebrate her “second birthday” received highly adorable comments from her fans & followers. Many followers stated that they love seeing this post every year.
