According to multiple reports, rapper Kanye West, who is accepted as one of the most admired musicians of his generation, has donated $2 million to support the families of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery.
As already known, George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery were three of the hundreds of victims of racism.
According to what West’s representative said, the donation includes legal fees for Arbery and Taylor’s families, and black-owned businesses in economical crisis in his hometown of Chicago.
Besides, Kanye West revealed that he is creating an education plan and college fund for George Floyd’s 6-year-old daughter, Gianna Floyd apart from the $2 million donation. With this education fund, Gianna’s college tuition will be fully covered.
Through this huge donation, Kanye West broke his silence following the death of George Floyd, and won the hearts.
