One of the 100 most influential people globally, Lewis Hamiton made a quite outstanding announcement regarding his racing career the other day, through his verified Instagram account.
Hamilton, who is marked as one of the great racing drivers of all time, became sociable on July 3, and added a photo of himself signing a piece of paper. Alongside the photo, Hamilton told the world that his partnership with the German automotive brand Mercedes will go on for two more years. He delivered the exciting news with these words:
“It is hard to believe it’s been nearly 9 years working with this incredible team. Time really does fly. I am happy and excited to announce that we are going to continue our partnership for two more years. We’ve accomplished so much together but we still have a lot to do, both on and off the track.”
Hamilton, who has been supported by many including well-known names from the celebs words for his acts to end racism in sport, continued his message by referring to this issue:
“I’m incredibly proud and grateful of how Mercedes has supported me in my drive to improve diversity and equality in our sport. They have held themselves accountable and made important strides in creating a more diverse team and inclusive environment. Thank you to all the dedicated and talented individuals at Mercedes whose hard work makes it all possible and the Board for their continued trust in me.”
The youngest Formula One World Champion in history, concluded his message by saying that there will be a new era of the car but also “have a sport that is uniting behind positive change. Following his post, Hamilton received these messages from his industry friends:
“Let’s go champ. Keep being great and doing great things. Congratulations!” wrote, Ashley Cain.
“Congrats well deserved” added, Valtteri Bottas.
