LeBron James, one of the most recognized professional basketball players worldwide, jumped into his verified Instagram account in order to honor his basketball fellow, Carmelo Anthony.

On May 29, James, who has two Gold Olympic medals, released a couple of photos with his fellow and added a lengthy tribute in honor of Anthony’s birthday; as fans might know, Anthony, who has been named an NBA All-Star ten times, turned 37 as of the date of May 29.

So as to mark the milestone, James took to his verified Instagram account and added the following message underneath the photos showing the cherished moments he shared with Anthony:

“Happy birthday to my brother @carmeloanthony! Who would ever think that 20 years ago when two strangers sat on those steps outside late in the night at the hotel in Delaware (for hours) for The Slam Dunk on the Beach High School tournament.”

In his hearty message, James referred to their long-time friendship; as known, the two have been close friends since the high school days. The fourtime NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) Award winner concluded his message as follows:

“We began talking about everything in our lives that was going on, that if it would ultimately result in a friendship and brotherhood bond nobody could ever break no matter how badly they wanted too! I’m proud of you man, truly am! You’ve always been you and someone I know I can always call on rather I need it or not! Love you, king Melo! Peace .God!”

As James’ social media followers know, he does not refer to Anthony with the Instagram tributes, from time to time, he releases posts that show that they are really enjoying having time together.
