‘Red Table Talk’ Host Jada Pinkett Smith Remembers Prince On His 63rd Birthday: “He Helped Me To Shape The Artist I Am”

Jada Pinkett Smith, the actor and host, was one of those who celebrated the birthday of the rock and roll legend Prince; as known June 7 would have been the 63rd birthday for Prince.

The day, Will Smith’s wife jumped into her verified Instagram account and shared a photo of the late star who passed away 0n the morning of April 21, 2016, due to an accidental overdose. Underneath the photo, Pinkett Smith, who has been under the media spotlight since she revealed his affair with singer August Alsina, unveiled that the polymathic musician touched her life and career deeply.

Regarding the seven-time Grammy Award-winning musician, the ‘Red Table Talk’ host wrote the following message:

“This man right here was such an intelligent, magical, precious creature. I was very lucky to call him a friend at a very formative time in my life.”

After revealing that Prince with a 40-year career as one of her industry friends, Smith marked his 63rd birthday by saying:

“He shared knowledge with me that helped shape the artist and businesswoman I am. He would have been 63 today.”

Apart from Jada Pinkett Smith, a great number of celebs took their social media accounts so as to mark the day; as one of them, his co-star in the 1984 film ‘Purple Rain,’ Apollonia Kotero said:

“We’re not in denial, but we’re still in disbelief that he’s no longer with us. Yes, the legend is with us through songs and stories, but you know, physically he’s not picking up the phone and calling and making me laugh.”

Another star Bootsy Collins wrote the following message in order to honor the memory of Prince, on Twitter:

“Happy Funkin’ Heavenly Birthdays to one of the Best to ever Do it, Yeah he Done That, Mr. Prince Rogers Nelson! R.I.P. lil-Big-Brutha, we love you, Bootsy & All His Forever Loving P-Rogers Fans baby!”
