Singer, songwriter, and actor Demi Lovato may be the most-known pro-vaccine activist, in addition to her numerous advocacy works.
On May 3, the ‘Sorry Not Sorry‘ singer took to her verified social media accounts and released a selfie just after receiving her coronavirus vaccine dose. In the photo, Lovato is seen wearing blue lens oval sunglasses plus an orange beanie while showing her upper arm.
Along with the photo, the singer, who encourages her fans and followers to received the COVID-19 vaccine in order to stop spreading at every turn with her social media posts, released the following statement that is addressing those who has vaccine hesitancy due to its mild side effects:
“Getting the vaccine came down to one thought process for me, I simply would rather risk potential side effects of a vaccine than risk lives by catching or spreading covid.”
Stating that it is quite normal to be cautious when something new comes along – especially through medical -, Lovato continued her message as follows:
“Wanting to know more is a good thing — it means you want to be informed. To ask questions and hear from others who have similar questions as you do, go to vaxbecause.org.”
As known, while the deaths are increasing due to the coronavirus pandemic at different places in the world, there are still a good number of people who do not want to get the shot because they do not know “what is in the vaccine.”
