Grammy Award-nominated singer & songwriter Jhené Aiko heralded that a new version of her first full-length project, ‘Sailing Souls‘ is available to listen to as of the date of March 12.
In order to spread the exciting news, Aiko, who released her third studio album back in March, took to her verified Instagram account; she posted the iconic cover photo of the mixtape, and heralded that ‘Sailing Souls’ would be on all streaming platforms with a couple of bonus tracks on its 10th release anniversary. The singer wrote:
“Can’t believe it’s been 10 years!!! added some extras on here for you to stream too. pre-save “sailing soul(s)” ⛵️ available everywhere at midnight ✨”
Even though the news is exciting enough, the fans who checked the tracklist out, asked the singer where is the song ‘July‘ featuring well-known rapper and producer Drake.
Once the same question was asked by numerous fans through the comments section, it was declared that Drake’s label didn’t approve the release. However, the announcement did not satisfy Aiko’s fans.
As known, a few days ago, Aiko announced that the mixtape, featured by Miguel, Drake, Gucci Mane, Kanye West, and Kendrick Lamar, would hit the streaming platform and expressed how much she is proud of having released it by saying:
“Sailing soul(s) was an independent project and the beginning of me writing every lyric to every song I sing.”
The new version consisting of four bonus tracks is now available to listen to online. Head this way to view the mentioned Instagram post.
