One of the greatest artists of Hard Rock, Lenny Kravitz did not skip marking the 94th birthday of Bahamian-American retired actor and filmmaker Sidney Poitier. To celebrate the day, Kravitz, also known for his appearances in various films and TV shows, posted a never-before-seen photo with Poitier and his fellow Denzel Washington.
In addition to the photo, in which Poitier, Kravitz, and Washington are sitting alongside Kravitz, who lost his dear Godmother Miss Cicely Tyson back in January, wrote the following message to mark Poitier’s 94th birthday:
“Happy Birthday, Sir Sidney Poitier! The road you have walked and cleared is an inspiration and example for generations around the world. All that you have done has been with class, grace, and dignity.”
Kravitz continued his messages by highlighting the actor’s talent that inspires many throughout the years. As known Poitier became the first black actor to win the Honorary Academy Award for his contribution to American cinema. As for the second, was Denzel Washington for his performance in ‘Training Day.’
The American Music Awards-winning musician concluded his words as follows:
“Your God-given talents and strength will continue to inspire through the ages. May you be blessed with many more years of life and love.”
Following Kravitz’s mentioned post, a great number of notable names in the celebs world jumped into the comments section to send their congratulatory messages to the living legend. While well-known singer & songwriter Miguel left a heart emoji, Naomi Campbell wished Poitier a happy birthday through the section.
