Well-known singer & songwriter Ava Max fired up her social media accounts with a piece of great news; she announced that her ‘Sweet but Psycho‘ boasted more than 1 billion streams on Spotify.
Both on Instagram and Twitter, Max, born Amanda Ava Koci, shared a couple of photos of herself, in which she posed alongside the official Spotify Plaque for 1 billion ‘Sweet but Psycho’ streams, and added a lengthy caption to declare that she would always be grateful for her breakthrough single she had released in August 2018, through Atlantic Records.
In her message, she stated that she had already known about the streams for a couple of months, however, the plaque made her achievement more concrete. In her own words:
“I know this happened a few months ago BUT this just came in and it just solidified it all for me. AHHHH.”
Stating she feels so blessed to have released the first single from her debut studio album ‘Heaven & Hell‘ and shared it with her loyal fans, she concluded her words by saying that having this kind of song was a great opportunity:
“Now with over 1 billion streams… 😱 Sweet but Psycho led me to you so I will be forever grateful for this record. •~Love you.♥️~• thank youuuu”
As fans may remember, the song, written by Max, Cirkut, Madison Love, Tix, and Cook Classics, grabbed mixed to positive reviews from both the audiences and music critics. It was the singer’s first top 10 single on the Billboard Hot 100, even though it became a controversial subject after certain mental health organizations had demanded to ban both the song and its music video.
