Bethany Hamilton, the professional surfer, gives a piece of happy marriage tips, through social media.
The surfer who survived a shark attack in 2003, released an engagement photo with her youth minister husband, Adam Dirks, and offered advice to married couples, as a wife-of-8-years. The professional sportive began her message alongside their engagement shoot, in which they are seen hug each other in a flower garden, by saying that the time they engaged in feels like a long time ago, and continued:
“Thankful to being doing life with this amazing man. I just wanted to encourage all you married couples to fight for your marriage and aim to put your spouse first. I’ve heard that when times get really tough it can be straining on relationships and often tear them apart.”
Hamilton, who announced back in October that she is pregnant with her third child, went on encouraging the couples not to give up on their relationship with their spouses, and she said that forgiving, healing, and being faithful are the keys to a happy marriage.
“Get intentional and make some changes. And move forward with the focus on togetherness ❤️Our world needs strong and loving families. We can do it!!!”
The ‘Soul Surfer: A True Story of Faith, Family‘ author concluded her words by stating that “forgiveness has been a beautiful binder” both for the two.
Hamilton and Dirks met through mutual friends in early 2012, and they announced their engagement in 2013. The same year, the couple tied the knots at an estate on Kauai’s north shore. A year after, the two welcomed their first child, son Tobias. In 2018, Hamilton and Dirks had their second son, Wesley.
Hamilton, who shows off being pregnant does not mean giving up on sports, is currently shares her pregnancy experience with her 2 million followers, through her verified social media accounts.
