Evan Ross, actor and musician, updated his verified Instagram account with a series of TBT photos that see his late father, Arne Næss, on his 17 anniversary.
The ‘Supremacy’ star, who recently welcomed his second child with Ashley Simpson, released never-before-seen photos, in some of which he is seen as a little kid, and remembered his father, who passed away in a climbing accident in the Groot Drakenstein mountains with the following message:
“Thinking of you today DAD. It’s been 17 years today since you left this place but I feel you all around me.”
Stating that he sees his beloved father in his babies – Jagger and Ziggy -, the ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay’ star continued by referring to Næss’ free soul:
“Jagger loves to climb like you and Ziggy already has our ski jump Nose. I will tell the stories about the Norwegian Nisse Elfs to Jagger tonight before bed ❤️ Love you Dad.”
As soon as the actor had shared the post, thousands of comments flooded the comment section. Apart from a good number of Instagram users leaving heart emojis, Evan Ross’ maternal half-sister, singer & songwriter Rhonda Ross Kendrick also could not help commenting on the post. ‘The Temptations’ star wrote:
“Oh!!! These pictures are so beautiful. I love you so much!”
Ross’ father, Arne Næss was a famous Norwegian businessman and mountaineer, who built a shipping empire worth some 600 million. Næss, whose father was German physician August Oskar German Raab and brother was philosopher and mountaineer Arne Næss, married singer Diana Ross in 1985, and the couple welcomed Evan Ross, born Evan Olav Næss, and her sister Ross Arne Næss respectively.
