LA Ink‘ star Kat Von D, took to her verified Instagram account and shared a video to show how she has got the bad memories from her body erased.

One of the most famous tattoo artist in the world, alongside the video that shows her blackout tattoo sleeve, wrote that she finally got rid of the old tattoos she does not want to wear anymore:

“Big thank you to @hoode215 for tattooing my arm today! Feels so good to finally cover up so many of the tattoos I got back when I used to drink.”

Then the tattoo artist, stating previously that she had so many “old crappy tattoos” said that the old tattoos “meant nothing to her but landmarks in dark times” and expressed that she is happy not to see them anymore. While covering up numerous tattoos on her right arm, she preferred to keep her daddy’s portrait tattoo.

“🖤 Now my arm looks so nice and clean, and the portrait of my Father stands out even more. 🖤

Kat Von D, who has been tattooing for more than 20 years, also wrote another paragraph for potential haters who could criticize her cover-up decision; she said it is not possible to connect with the same things throughout life.

“Before anyone feels inspired to negatively criticize my tattoo (…) I don’t think there should be room for criticism when it comes to self-expression, and a tattoo is personal to the person wearing it. So thank you ahead of time for being respectful. Much love! 🖤”

As fans might remember, the artist first blacked out her left arm tattoos to make them look clean and smooth, in 2019. At that time, she reminded people that this was a totally personal choice, as she did one year after.
