It is officially announced that five-weight boxing world champion Floyd Mayweather and YouTuber Logan Paul will fight in a special exhibition match, which is going to be streamed through Fanmio, on February 20.
Simultaneously, Mayweather and Paul released the news through their social media accounts. Once the news spread, a great number of Instagram users flooded the comment section and called the match “easy money for Mayweather.” As known, the 43-year-old Mayweather has been marked as one of the greatest and gifted boxers, with 15 world titles, while the YouTube star has just one professional record in boxing.
Mayweather, who ended his boxing career in 2017 with a comeback fight against well-known martial artist Conor McGregor, and has not returned to the rings since that date.
Also, the undefeated former boxer, with a 50-0 record, invited Paul for a match on November 19, with the following tweet:
“I’m not the one for the kid games. 3 years ago a fighter from the UFC said my name and I had to put a muzzle on that bi**h. @loganpaul can get the same treatment before I go conquer Japan again.”
In return, Paul posted a screenshot of the tweet through his verified Instagram account and wrote that these are the big words for a little man.
What’s more, a few weeks ago, Mayweather took to Instagram to slam the criticisms against his friend, Nate Robinson, who got knock-out by Paul’s brother Jake Paul in a boxing match. He wrote:
“No black athletes or black entertainers, especially black NBA players should make a mockery out of you. We are supposed to all stand with each other through the good, bad and ugly.”
