Notable names in the sports world, such as Stephen Curry and Floyd Mayweather took to their social media channels to show their support for the former NBA star Nate Robinson, who was beaten by YouTuber Jake Paul in a boxing match on November 28.

On Saturday, Paul knocked out Robinson, and the ex-NBA star needed help out of the ring after eight punches. Whereupon, the internet went crazy, a great number of memes were posted regarding Robinson’s quick defeat and the former basketball player was mocked by many internet users including certain stars such as professional basketball player Joel Embiid and San Jose Sharks’ Evander Kane.

However, Nate’s industry friends could not stay in silence against that rags; NBA star Stephen Curry was quick to react to the mean comments. He took to Twitter and wrote in short:

Be ok Nate……come on man.”

Curry’s wife, Ayesha was one of the supporters of Nate, she wrote on Twitter that Nate should not care about the knock-out and added that she thinks that trying brand new thing by stepping out of the comfort zone is so cool. Ayesha Curry continued:

You don’t have to just be one thing. I never want to live a life where I look back and say I didn’t try something I wanted.”

The other member of the sports community, former professional boxer Floyd Mayweather went to his official Instagram account, shared a photo of himself with Robinson and expressed that he is proud of the former NBA player. Then Mayweather said that he would never kick Robinson, his brother, when he is down; he continued:

It’s ok for people to voice their opinions on social media, but no black athletes or black entertainers, especially black NBA players should make a mockery out of you. We are supposed to all stand with each other through the good, bad, and ugly. I’m here to uplift you and let you know we all love you and congratulate you for just making an effort.”

After all these supporting messages, Robinson himself took to Instagram in order to thank his fellows. He showed his gratitude for Mike Bibby, Carlos Arroyo, Bonzi Wells and Malik Rose by saying their names and added that getting support from a great number of people means the world to him. He concluded his caption by promising that he would come back even better

As fans might remember, apart from the names from the sports world, the well-known rapper Rick Ross also released a statement to stand behind Robinson.
