Lady Gaga, born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, performed at democratic candidate Joe Biden’s final election campaign event in Pittsburg, and spoke over her broken engagement with ‘The Vampire Diaries‘ actor Taylor Kinney.
During her appearance at Joe Biden rally in Pennsylvania which is Kinney’s home state, just before singing her romantic ballad ‘You & I,’ Gaga by referring to her past relationship told the audiences that she had been engaged to a man from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, however, it did not work out.
Then the ‘Rain On Me‘ singer continued by saying she loved him so much but it just did not work out. She continued:
“But I still love me Pennsylvania guy. I love Joe, so Joe’s my new Pennsylvania guy.”
Gaga, who shows her support for Joe Biden and Vice President candidate Kamala Harris at every turn, changed the original lyrics of the song as follows during her performance to honor the Democratic candidate:
“Something, something about my cool Pennsylvania guy. There’s something about, Joe, you and I.”
Gaga first met actor Taylor Kinney in July 2011 during a music video filming where Kinney played Gaga’s love interest, and they started dating. After 4 years of dating, in February 2015, the couple became engaged. However, this singer called off her engagement with Kinney in July 2016. Gaga announced the news regarding their split through her verified Instagram:
“We are both ambitious artists, hoping to work through long-distance and complicated schedules to continue the simple love we have always shared. Please root us on. We’re just like everybody else and we really love each other.”
