Australian singer, songwriter, and record producer Keith Urban joined to Dax Shepard and Monica Padman’s ‘Armchair Expert’ podcast and praised his wife of 14 years, Nicole Kidman, whom with share two daughters. Urban said:
“She’s just the one. She’s the one that I was searching for my whole life, and everything not only changed but had to change in me if I was gonna go that road.”
The ‘You Look Good in My Shirt’ singer, who was struggling with his sobriety, shared that he decided to get sober for the sake of their marriage. He added:
“It was like the ultimate fork in the road moment in my life and it was literally like you either get this right now or you are never, ever gonna get it right. This is your one shot.”
The singer, who is preparing for releasing his new album ‘The Speed of Now Part 1,’ continued:
“It felt so obvious. I knew where I was going… was everything I was looking for and then beyond. Just beyond.”
As remember, Kidman and Urban were married in 2006, at the Cardinal Cerretti Memorial Chapel, after six months dating.
During the show, when the co-host Shepard asked if the singer and the ‘Big Little Lies’ actress ever get egotistical in their relationship, Urban responded as follows:
“There are so many other things that I can bring that help and blossom the family, and protect it, and take care of it and grow it, not just fiscally. I bring everything I can most of the time.”
