YouTube beauty star and makeup artist NikkieTutorials, whose real name is Nikkie de Jager, confirmed that she and her fiancé, Dylan Drossaers, were robbed at their home, in Uden, Netherlands, on August 8.
Once the news spread, Jager took to social media and released a message to confirm the incident; she began:
“Earlier today one of my biggest nightmares became reality when we got robbed under gunpoint at our own home.”
The YouTube vlogger stated that they were both at home when the robbery occurred, and reassured her fans that they are okay now:
”Dylan and myself got attacked but physically we’re okay. Mentally it’s a whole other story.”
The 26-year-old artist concluded her message as follows:
“I’m writing this message, for now, to let you know that we are ‘okay’ and safe. Thank you for understanding as I take the next couple of days to myself.”
According to news released by Dutch wire services, three people with guns raided their home, and East-Brabant police stated that suspects fled in a car toward the A50 motorway.
