The ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star Kim Kardashian posted a photo to her Instagram story and made a written statement to call out well-known fashion and beauty brands to select Black models for promoting their products.
The fashion entrepreneur Kardashian has launched the new season of her brand SKIMS, and worked with Black, White, Asian, Hispanic models; and her approach received many praises.
Kardashian wrote as follows to invite the other brands to give chances to the Black models:
“Last week I shared with you some of the gorgeous models we have photographed for KKWBEAUTY since we launched 3 years ago and today I’d love to shine the spotlight on the beautiful black women we have worked with at SKIMS since launching less than 1 year ago.”
The owner of the shapewear company, Kim Kardashian continued:
“I encourage other brands to book these incredible women for jobs and opportunities in the future.”
With the help of the celebs such as Kim Kardashian, the fashion and beauty industry seems to adopt different perspectives on selecting models and brand ambassadors.
