According to TMZ, Canadian rapper Tory Lanez reportedly apologizes to Megan Thee Stallion in a text message following the shooting incident in July.
As remember, on July 12, ‘WAP’ rapper Megan Thee Stallion was shot in both her feet in Lanez’s car, after an argument; then Lanez was arrested and charged with carrying a concealed weapon in his vehicle. One month after, in August 2020, Stallion confessed that she was shot by Lanez, during an Instagram Live and criticized his publicist team at that time.
In the text messages that he reportedly sent to Stallion, Lanez wrote:
“I know you probably never gone talk to me again, but I genuinely want you to know I’m sorry from the bottom of my heart.”
The 28-year-old rapper also added that he was just too drunk, and did not know what he did. Even though he didn’t mention the shooting explicitly, he continued in another text message:
“None the less s*** should have never happened and I can’t change what did. I just feel horrible.”
Lanez, who posted his $35,000 bail and was released on July 14, will appear in court in October. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office is considering charging the rapper with felony assault with a firearm in the case.
