Well-known actor Ian Somerhalder jumped into his verified social media accounts the other day in order to mark a milestone; as of the date of May 17, his actor wife Nikki Reed turned 33.
So as to celebrate the day, almost 4 days after, Somerhalder released a photo of himself with Reed and revealed that he owes so much to her; even his life. Alongside the photo, in which he is holding a glass of bourbon from his own brand, the actor, best known for starring ‘Damon Salvatore’ in the fan-favorite fantasy series ‘The Vampire Diaries,’ added a note that reads:
“This mama. This human. I owe you such gratitude for it all. What many of you may not know is this woman is the reason I was actually able to build @brothersbondbourbon.”
Then Somerhalder disclosed publicly that Reed “worked selflessly for 2 years to build” him out of a “terrible business situation” he got himself into. According to what he stated in the caption section, he previously made huge personal guarantees to banks to build a company. However, he could have not found what he had expected. In his own words:
“Due to greed and fraud within that company and fraudulent activities from our biggest customer, not to mention the temporary collapse of the oil and gas industry – I was left in an eight-figure hole. It was awful. A true nightmare day in and day out. I had to travel the world weekly to pay for massive monthly six-figure banknotes and ended up in the hospital 4 times in 2 years.”
While all of these were happening, the ‘Twilight‘ star devoted her life to get her hubby out of that mess. Referring to that sacrifice, Somerholder stated that he is where he is because of Reed and added that he was able to rebuild his life with the help of her. He concluded:
“Happy 33 you incredible angel of a person. The light you radiate into our household and this planet is beyond inspiring. You are a superwoman. You made it possible for me to live, build my dreams, and to start my life over. The world needs people like you.”
The actor’s hearty post of course met with positive comments by his fans, followers and friends.
