Legendary singer, Tony Bennett was honored by numerous stars on his 94th birthday.
Many well-known fans of Bennett, including Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Billy Joel, and Sting teamed up, and celebrated the birthday of musical icon, through social media.
The stars released a photo of the 19 times Grammy Award winner on social media and added notes to wish him a happy birthday. Billy Joel wrote the followings on Twitter:
“To my good friend, @itstonybennett – Thank you for bringing the songs I wrote to such glorious life. Happy Birthday! Love, Billy Joel #TheBestIsYetToCome”
Then, Elvis Costello took to Twitter and said:
“Happy Birthday, @itstonybennett. You have made the world a better place and we will sit like this again, one day. You are the best and #TheBestIsYetToCome. With much affection and respect.”
In the same moments, Lady Gaga posted a photo of herself with Bennett and added the following caption:
“Happy 94th Birthday @itstonybennett! You hold such a special place in my heart. Whenever I think of you I always Smile, just like Charlie Chaplin wrote. You’re beautiful inside and out and the whole world loves you. I celebrate you today from home. But I wish we were Cheek to Cheek 😘”
As for Stevie Wonder, Elton John and Sting uploaded videos on Twitter, and while celebrating his birthday, also thanked him for spreading the love with his powerful artistry.
Later, Bennett took to Instagram and posted a video to thank for birthday wishes, he said:
“Thank you for making my 94th birthday so special!”
Along with the video, he also added the following caption:
“Thank you all so much for the wonderful birthday wishes! Your support and love is the greatest gift I could ever ask for.”
