Ten-time MTV Europe Music Awards winner, Shawn Mendes is set to drop his new album ‘Wonder.’
The 22-year-old singer & songwriter teased the album with a new trailer. Alongside the video, Mendes also posted a photo of a handwritten letter he had penned.
“I’ve missed you all so much! I know it’s been a really scary year for everyone so I’m sending buckets of love to all of you x I wrote an album. It’s called ‘Wonder.’ It really feels like a piece of me has been written down on paper and recorded into song. I tried to be as real and as honest as I’ve ever been.”
The first artist to land three number-one singles on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart, continued:
“It’s a world and a journey and a dream and an album I’ve been wanting to make for a really long time. I absolutely love it. Thank you for being by my side for so many years. I love you all so much.”
Then the ‘There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back’ singer announced that the album would be released on December 4, and the lead single and title track ‘Wonder’ would be out on October 2.
Mendes teased also the chorus of the song via trailer:
“It is a happiness to wonder / It is a happiness to dream / I feel, I think, I wonder / I am all in a sea of wonders / I doubt, I fear, I think strange things”
Also, his girlfriend, Camila Cabello took to Instagram to announce her boyfriend’s upcoming project; she posted the clip of the album’s trailer on her own Instagram page, and wrote as a caption:
“The world could use some magic, beauty, and Wonder always, but especially right now. @shawnmendes what a gorgeous gift to the world. He’s crafted this album with every last bit of his soul, his spirit, and his essence with the purest of intentions. My love, I’m so proud of the person you are and I’m so excited for people to see and hear your heart.”
