Priyanka Chopra Marks News That ‘The White Tiger’ Has Reached No.1 In 64 Countries: “It’s So Emotional For Me”

Through her verified Instagram account, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, one of India’s highest-paid actors, announced that her latest project, ‘The White Tiger‘ reached number one on the top ten film list in 64 countries in total. What’s more, the film, directed by Ramin Bahrani was seen in 27M households in its first month of release, according to the latest records.

Chopra, who is portraying ‘Pinky‘ in the film she also executive produced, after delivering the news, stated that this success means a lot to her. Regarding the accomplishment of the film, starring Adarsh Gourav, Rajkummar Rao, Mahesh Manjrekar, Vijay Maurya, and Kamlesh Gill, Chopra wrote:

It’s so emotional for me to see the discovery and acceptance of this brilliant incredible story. The White Tiger being embraced by audiences all over the world is awe-inspiring.”

Chopra, who is going on garnering praises from both viewers and critics for her role as ‘Ms. Granada‘ in Netflix film, ‘We Can Be Heroes,’ then thanked Netflix for giving their “little movie wings” and concluded her words by showing her gratitude to the cast and the crew:

“Congrats and thank you to Aravind, Ramin, Adarsh, Raj, Mukul, Ava and everyone involved.”

As fans already know, the film, based on Aravind Adiga‘s novel of the same name, was released on January 22, 2021. ‘The White Tiger’ the became most-watched title in its opening week and received highly positive ratings from viewers; on Rotten Tomatoes, it garnered an approval rating of 91%.
