Post Malone Takes Home 9 Trophies At 2020 Billboard Music Awards

Rapper, songwriter, and record producer Post Malone, born Austin Richard Post, won nine honors at the 2020 Billboard Music Awards.

Post, who had received 16 nominations, won awards for Top Artist, Top Male Artist, Top Streaming Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Rap Artist, Top Male Rap Artist, Top Rap Tour, and Top Rap Album.

During the acceptance speech for the Top Artist award, Malone, who could not win any award at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards despite his 12 nominations, said:

I’m honestly blown away by the love everyone’s shown to me. It’s kind of big deal to me and everybody involved because we work our off.”

The 2020 Billboard Music Awards took place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles without a live audience. As known, the award ceremony was originally scheduled for April 29 but was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

On the night that musicians such as John Legend, Demi Lovato, and BTS performed at the empty Dolby Theatre, DJ Khaled followed the ‘Hollywood’s Bleeding’ hitmaker with five wins including Top R&B Artist, Top R&B Album, and Top R&B Song.
