One of the highly dominant figures on pop culture and the entertainment industry, Pink, whose real name is Alecia Beth Moore took to her verified Instagram account to speak out about the “new normal” on the education system. Moore posted a photo of her boy, Jameson Moon sitting in front of the computer, and stated that as the entire family, they try to figure out distance learning.
“Trying out this preschool thing remotely.”
Then the singer, who received three Grammy Awards, two Brit Awards, a Daytime Emmy Award, and seven MTV Video Music Awards throughout her musical career, stated that this was necessary for staying safe, notwithstanding, it was a new and hard to handle thing for parents and teacher. Praising their efforts, the mother of two continued:
“My heart breaks for these kids, and my heart also goes out to every parent and teacher right now trying to figure it all out. I’m grateful for the community and for all of us trying to keep each other safe. In the words of my father, ‘This, too, shall pass.’”
However, an Instagram user, Shelly Larson, wrote the following comment to express she disagreed with Pink, and the comment received a good number of likes:
“There are children all over the world – such as Australia and north of the 60th parallel – who’ve learned remotely for over 100 years. Why is it all of a sudden so hard? I’m flummoxed.”
