P. Diddy Clarifies His Tweet About Sha’Carri Richardson: “This Whole Situation Is Bullsh*t!”

P. Diddy, the well-known producer and rapper, became sociable to be clear about his tweet about sprinter Sha’carri Richardson who was banned due to substance-using. As fans might remember, on July 8, Diddy jumped into Twitter to criticize the USA Track and Field for not having selected her to its Olympic roster.

In his tweet, Diddy first stated his heart is broken for Richardson whose “lifelong dream stripped away for using a legal substance,” and then continued as follows:

“I’m tired of white people sitting in a room making up decisions that affect our hopes and dreams. They will keep treating our athletes like slaves and entertainment until we shut down on these people! Said from love with love.”

As soon as he had shared the tweet, a good number of people started to accuse him of promoting illegal substances and using racist language. In order to clarify his tweet, Diddy took to his verified Twitter account and stated that the point he is making is that illegal substances have been used against Black people since “some white people in an office (DEA / FBI) saw it as a way to entrap Black Jazz artists to shut down the movement happening in Harlem.”

Challenging “the haters” to research the history, Diddy continued his message as follows:

“That’s the real reason why it started, you can research the history. It started from an evil plot, and now this plot is affecting our future. So many of our brothers, sisters, mothers, daughters and sons are rotting in jail and it’s just not right.”

In his message the producer also described Richardson as “a young Black woman that is on the edge of her greatness” and concluded his message as follows:

“Let me be very clear, (substance) does not make you run faster. That’s a fact. This whole situation is bulls*it, and if they let Michael Phelps swim they should.”
