Naya Rivera’s sister, runway model Nickayla Rivera posted a message to Instagram Stories, and opened up about how she supported the late actress’ 5-year-old son as an aunt.
Naya’s younger sister, who is showing up for her nephew Josey, wrote:
“In the darkest time of my life, the only thing that is important is my friends & family. Showing up for my nephew even though I can’t show up for myself. I’m not concerned with the ways things look because no one can see each agonizing moment we all endure.”
Nickayla, describing her sister as the yin to her yang, continued expressing her feelings as follows:
“What matters most I’ve learned, is to show compassion, not to judge others, and never take a moment for granted. I hope you all can do the same.”
As known, two-time Grammy Award-winning actress Naya Rivera was officially declared dead on July 13 after her body had been found floating in Lake Piru by divers. During the boat trip that brought her death, her 5-year-old son Josey, who shared with ex-husband Ryan Dorsey, was with her.
Josey was found alone in Rivera’s rented boat, however, Rivera passed away at the age of 33.
