The rapper Big Sean paid tribute to his ex-fiancée Naya Rivera, whose body was pulled from Lake Piru.
Big Sean, whose real name is Sean Michael Leonard Anderson, released a picture of former ‘Glee’ star Naya Rivera and added a lengthy note to express his disbelief in her death. He wrote:
“Thank you for blessing us all with your talent and presence. You are a hero! Not just because of how you saved your son, also because of the barriers you knocked down for so many people to make them feel confident in themselves and to stand tall and be proud when they couldn’t achieve that on their own.”
Rivera passed away in July 2020, at the age of 33, of accidental drowning.
Anderson, who has an album certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America, continued:
“I appreciate and cherish everything that ever happened between us for making me wiser and a better person. I’m still grieving and in shock, I can’t believe this is real. I’m praying for you and your family and I know your watching over them and protecting them. Rest In Peace Naya 💙🙏🏾”
As fans might remember, Sean and Rivera started dating in 2013, and they announced their engagement the same year. However, the couple ended their relationship in 2015.
