Singer and songwriter Mod Sun achieved what he wanted; his musical collaboration with her well-known girlfriend Avril Lavigne titled ‘Flames‘ was ranked in the top 20 on alt radio.
As known, back in March, Mod Sun, whose real name is Derek Ryan Smith, asked through his social media accounts his fans and followers to request the song on their local radio stations in order to crack the top 10. Two months after this post, ‘Flames’ hit the top 20, of course, Mod Sun took to his verified social media accounts in order to celebrate the news.
On April 28, the star released a couple of shots of himself with his Canadian singer girlfriend and asked in the caption section his loyal fans to keep this going to carry the song to the number 1. He wrote:
“We cracked the Top 20 on alt radio! Officially number 19 this week, the song is legit selling units! We are gonna do everything we can to keep this going, we are on the road to top 15, top 10, top 5, number 1!“
Stating that he has been praying for this, Modern Sunshine thanked all the DJs spinning the song for making his dreams come true. He continued begging for more boosting:
“If you live in a city they are playing flames keep requesting it all day long. I’m being blessed and I just want y’all to know how grateful, aware of that I am… To all of Avril’s amazing supporters, thank you.”
After showing gratitude to his supporters and friends, Mod Sun heralded that new music on the way; it was scheduled to be released on May 7.
