Missy Elliott Reveals Unknown Facts About Her 2015 Super Bowl Halftime Show With Katy Perry After Six Years

Famous rapper and composer Missy Elliott updated her Instagram account to celebrate the 6th anniversary of her guest appearance during Katy Perry’s Super Bowl XLIX Halftime Show, performing her songs ‘Get Ur Freak On‘ and ‘Work It,‘ on her Instagram account.

The 49-year-old veteran rapper Elliott is one of the first female artists to influence the spread of rap music among female artists and to a wide audience, also bringing a new breath to R&B music since the 2000s.

Six years ago, Elliott, who appeared before the audience during the Super Bowl after a long hiatus, exhibited an outstanding performance and impressed everyone.

The five-time Grammy Award-winning rapper shared the video of that incredible night which she described as a night to remember. She also reminded a fun fact about her performance as some people thought she was a new artist with the following words:

“Swipe left 👈🏾WOW 6 years ago today @katyperry had me & @lennykravitz join her at the #SuperBowl XLIX. Remember when they thought I was a new artist😩🤣😂”

Furthermore, the rapper revealed that before she got on stage she was so sick that she came to the show from the hospital, but she was glad that she could make it on time as follows:

“but I remember I was so sick I was at the hospital the night before but through the grace of God I was able to make it through this performance 🙏”

In her final words, Elliot addressed Katy Perry and said she was grateful for making it an unforgettable night of a lifetime which was viewed by over 120 Million.

“🏾I am still forever Grateful Katy & it was a NIGHT to REMEMBER This is the MOST VIEWED halftime show drawing in over 120 MILLION viewers.🤯🔥🙌🏾🔥👏🏾”👏🏾
