Famous rapper and composer Missy Elliott fired up her Instagram account to celebrate the 13th anniversary of one of her hit songs of all time ‘Ching-a-Ling‘ and its 3D music video with her fans on her Instagram account.
The 49-year-old veteran rapper Elliott is one of the first female artists to influence the spread of rap music among female singers and to a wide audience, also bringing a new breath to R&B music since the 2000s.
The five-time Grammy Award-winning rapper shared the music video of her song ‘Ching-a-Ling’ which was from the soundtrack of the 2008 movie the ‘Step Up 2 the Streets‘ and its video was combined with another soundtrack ‘Shake Your Pom Pom.’
Missy Elliott expressed her thoughts saying that besides being the first hip hop video shot using 3D with the technology that existed 13 years ago, she added and said:
“Happy Anniversary! I dropped my Song “Chingaling” /Shake Ya Pom Pom for the movie Step Up 13 years ago!!! WOW! This was the first HipHop Video shot in 3D and we premiered it in a theatre with the 3D glasses😎”
Another interesting feature about the music video was that the famous Japanese hip hop dance group U-Min came all the way from Japan to show their slow motion dancing and popping. Still disbelieving that 13 years have passed after commemorating the fun shooting days, Elliot also gave her fans exciting news and explained:
“I flew these Amazing guys called U-Min all the way from Japan just to dance in this video we had so much fun shooting🔥🔥🔥 I can’t believe it’s been 13 years already😩 I’m bout to cook up some more heat coming!!!!!”
