Meghan Trainor is about to make something special; she is becoming a TV star.
The singer & songwriter, who welcomed her first child, a son in February 2021 with well-known actor husband Daryl Sabara, took to her verified Instagram account the other day to confirm the news that she is starring in a new comedy series.
Trainor first released a screenshot of a Variety report titled “Meghan Trainor to Star in New Comedy as Part of Huge New Overall Deal at NBCU TV and Streaming” and then expressed her excitement regarding her career update.
The ‘All About That Bass‘ hitmaker wrote underneath the screenshot of the report:
“2021 so far: became a mom and joined the incredible @nbc family! let’s goooo! @peacocktv @bravotv @eentertainment @usa_network @SYFY @oxygen”
Then the new mother showed her gratitude to the chairman of NBCUniversal Media, Susan Rovner with these words:
“Thank you to Susan Rovner and my amazing team for making this happen💖”
In a recent interview, Rovner also talked about Trainor’s join and praised her by saying that she is “the perfect fit for NBC’s brand.” She also added:
“We love the idea of introducing Meghan into the world of scripted comedy as well working with her to find all the creative and crazy ways she can engage with fans across our brands.”
According to the news obtained by Variety, the yet unnamed project which Trainor to star in will be under the new NBCU Television and Streaming Entertainment and air on NBCU’s various networks including NBC, universal Kids, USA, Peacock, Bravo, E!, Oxygen and SYFY.
