The former actress and producer, and the twin sister of Ashley Olsen, Mary-Kate Olsen has officially filed for divorce from her husband of five years, French banker Pierre Olivier Sarkozy.
The ex child-actress and new fashion designer had applied for a divorce order before but the New York Court had denied this because of firstly the coronavirus.
After Olsen applied for an emergency divorce for the second time, the court denied this order again on May 14, because it was not a true emergency.
According to New York Post news, because she was worried about being displaced from her home during the pandemic and losing her personal property, she rushed filling the divorce papers.
Olsen and Sarkozy were married on November 27, 2015 in New York City, and after 5 years this divorce news made her fans upset.
However, according to what sources said, Mary-Kate Olsen‘s wish to have a child is one of the main causes of their split.
