On June 30, Stewart became sociable and delivered the devastating news via the following message:

“Not the prettiest photo nor the happiest back story. Bad timing all around. Ruptured my Achilles’ tendon a while ago. Tried to get it to heal on its own to no avail. The great @drjohnkennedy @nyulangone performed a three-hour operation yesterday to repair the damage.”

Through the post, Stewart also declared she underwent a complex surgery, fortunately, she is now recovering from it at home. After stating that she needs to elevate her leg for two weeks to get back to her normal activity circle, the 79-year-old star told off how she injured:

“Most such ruptures occur when dancing or playing sports. Mine was caused by a surprise step into a hole in the dark getting out of the car . Thank you NYU for attempting to make me whole again.”

As soon as the media personality released the post, her industry friends took to the comments section so as to say get well soon. Here are some comments from well-known names:

“You are still so sexy! So so so sexy!” stated, Hollywood actor Drew Barrymore.

“Glad to hear you are on your way to a full recovery! Lots of love from your favorite fake doctor.” added, Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo.
