Three-time Grammy Award-winning artist Lizzo jumped into her social media platforms to release a “fully uncovered” photo of herself in order to celebrate Taurus season.
One of the recognized supporters of the Body Positive movement, the singer and songwriter stated that she wanted to release a photo that sees her undressed and without a filter to celebrate the day. Even though she is known for her self-esteem, Lizzo admitted that she uses filters before releasing the photos.
The ‘Truth Hurts‘ singer wrote the following message as a caption underneath the photo:
“Welcome to Taurus season. To celebrate I wanna give y’all this unedited selfie… now normally I would fix my belly and smooth my skin but baby I wanted show you how I do it au natural.”
The singer, whose name is Melissa Viviane Jefferson, also declared that she teamed with Dove “to reverse the negative effects of social media and changing the conversation about beauty standards.”
As soon as the singer released the post, her industry friends jumped into the comments section to praise her natural look. Here are some of the comments:
