Lindsey Vonn Thinks Posting Bikini Photos Is Her Right, Months After She Reacted To Body Shamers

Lindsey Vonn, the former World Cup alpine ski racer, is now more confident than ever.

Through her verified Instagram account, on March 29, Vonn released a couple of photos of herself in a bikini and showed that she is rocking beaches with her perfect-shaped body. Even though Instagram users are familiar with these kinds of shots of celebs, these photos gained further recognition due to the previous post of the Laureus Sportswoman of the Year award-winning racer.

As fans might remember, back in October, Vonn slammed body shamers who criticized her body image by saying:

“I’ve posted quite a few swimsuit pics lately, which is scarier than it seems. Even as an athlete there are ruthless comments and media stories that tear apart my body and I admit it sometimes hurts me.”

Almost 6 months after, the former member of the United States Ski Team took revenge on shamers by posting the abovementioned photos. In the caption section, Vonn wrote that she does not care about mean comments anymore, and added that it is sort of her right to show her body after working so hard in the gym. In her own words:

You can judge me if you want, but I’ve been working hard in the gym and taking care of me…. so I’m going to post some bikini pics because I’m proud of myself. 💪🏻😁❤️”

Previously stating that her body has helped her achieve amazing things so she is proud of it, Vonn concluded her words with a hashtag: #beyourself. The post, which she released to prove one more time that being size zero means nothing for her, received countless positive comments.
